Dead has been announced of a rebound businessman and elders statesman Senator David Dafinone.

The renowened chartered accountant who hails from Sapele, in Delta state and a first class accountant, died in Lagos, at the age of 91 years old.

A member of the family who confirmed the death to our correspondent, on Sunday said the patriarch of the Dafinone dynasty died in his sleep, on Sunday by 6am.

Dafinone who was a senator for Bendel South during the Nigerian Second Republic was a member of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN).

The late Dafinone worked on various fact finding committees during the administration of Yakubu Gowon.
