Lion Kayode Oshinuga, District Governor, 404B2 Nigeria 2021- 2022 Lions Service Year

By Blessing Umebali — The Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako Oyedele will be the Chief Guest of honour at the forthcoming Investiture of Lion Kayode Oshinuga as the District Governor come Sunday 8th August 2021 at Eko Hotel.

Also featuring at the epoch making event is fund raising Ceremony to aid humanitarian projects and services , especially the eye-catching international standard type of a proposed Eye Clinic at State Hospital, project worth of millions.

Speaking in view of the investiture, when LIONS paid her a courtesy visit in her office, Oyedele stated that selfless service is part of her life adding that ” humanitarian service is a clarion call for any responsible person to be part of”.

Aslo speaking in view of Investiture, the District Governor, Lion Kayode Oshinuga, Lions Clubs International, stated that the world largest service organization primary focus is to serve the community and making the world a better place.

He said, the International President theme for this year is Service From The Heart, while the District’s is Service: Our Way Of Life. Noting that this Lions Service Year Programmes will reflect on theme, especially as Lions Motto is “We Serve”.

In his words, “It is therefore necessary to remind you great Leaders of our association, my fellow Lions, my family members, my professional colleagues and of course my friends and well meaning Nigerians to start planning ahead of Sunday, 8th August 2021″. Oshinuga said.

According to the District Governor, the core project for the Lions Year is a proposed Eye Clinic at State Hospital in Arowomole, Ogbomoso, Oyo State as Lions Clubs all over the world is known for Sight First.

Similar, the Investiture and Fundraising Planning Committee Chairperson, Lion Alhaji, Abiodun Adediji said, that the objective is to raise good amount of fund to support the government in the humanitarian causes as government cannot do it all alone.

According to him, ” it is impossible for any government to shoulder the responsibility of community service alone”.
“We need partnership and collaboration with the government to build the nation and making it a lovely place to live”. He submitted.
