By Ngozi Onyeakusi—National Pension Commission (PenCom) has disclosed that  the pension fund assets recorded  N15.45 trillion as at February 28, 2023.

The commission disclosed this in its unaudited report on pension funds industry for the period ended February 28, 2023, noting that the fund assets gained N182.94 billion between January and end of February 2023 and that Retirement Savings Account (RSA) membership also stood at 9.92 million in February.

According to PenCom  the fund assets amounted to $33.47 billion valued at exchange rate of N415 to a Dollar.

The pension sector regulator maintained that N9.98 trillion out of the N15.45 trillion was invested in federal government securities, while N160.31 billion was invested in state governments’ securities, corporate debt securities, gulped, N1.67 trillion and money market instruments got N1.69 trillion.
