May Day: Albinism Association Advocates Workers’ Empowerment, Recognition
Workers are the lifeblood of every economy and deserve to be celebrated not just on a special day but every day.
As we commemorate this special Workers’ Day, we use this medium to appreciate our daily heroes who give their all to the progress of the workplace and our darling nation, Nigeria.
The Albinism Association of Nigeria (AAN), on this special day, advocates for continued engagement, recognition, and fair treatment for all workers.
We recognise their roles in society and it is imperative that we empower workers to be able to access many opportunities needed for self-fulfillment and dignity of human life.
We use this special occasion to call on the Nigerian government across all tiers – federal, state, and local – to recognise persons with albinism (PWAs) as people who can contribute to the socioeconomic fabric of the nation.
We request equity, fairness, and inclusiveness for our community.
Mrs Bisi Bamishe,
President,
Albinism Association of Nigeria (AAN).
