Best performed students of Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) with Insurance Diginitaries when the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) today took awareness campaign to the school as part of 2025 Insurance Awareness Week.

It was all fun and excitement as students of Accountancy  Department, Yaba College of Technology (Yabatech) Yaba, Lagos, trooped out in large numbers to welcome insurance industry practitioners lead by the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) who took awareness campaign to the school as part of  the ongoing 2025 Insurance Awareness Week.

In welcoming the insurance industry practitioners, the students said they were pleased to receive them and even happy that the insurance industry took the campaign to their school.

Addressing the students, the immediate past Rector College of Insurance and Financial Management (CIFM) Dr Yeside Oyetayo called on the students to consider taking insurance as career.

She assured them that irrespective of any course one studied in the university, opportunity abound for him/her in the insurance industry.

According to her insurance business has gone digital adding that the industry is recruiting a lot of computer science graduates.

“We have shared with you a book that tells you how you can write insurance exams. So we are inviting you to think about insurance. It is the next generation financial sector”, she assured.
