Tyre-Deflating Incident Exposes Mega Chicken’s Declining Customer Experience

Ensuring a satisfying consumer experience is one of the most important elements in building a sustainable brand. Unfortunately, this appears to be declining at Mega Chicken, a once-trusted restaurant brand that is gradually failing to provide the quality of service that encourages customer loyalty and repeat patronage.

On November 29, 2025, a customer, Mr. Bamidele Adeleye, Publisher of BrandEscort, shared a disturbing experience at the Mega Chicken outlet in Lekki, near Ikota Villa. According to him, he visited the restaurant to have a meal but witnessed an unexpected and unpleasant incident involving the restaurant’s security personnel deflating his tyres while he was still eating at the restaurant.
“It was such a strange experience. I came to eat at the Mega Chicken restaurant in Lekki, the one close to Ikota Villa. I parked my car and went inside to eat. While eating, I was responding to some messages on my phone. At some point, I looked outside—and because I could see my car from where I sat—to my amazement, I saw the restaurant’s security guards deflating my tyres. It felt like a dream. I asked them to fix it, but they refused. I was told the management gave the order for reasons known to them and they must apologize and pay for that useless order,” Adeleye said.
He urged Nigerians to be cautious when visiting similar restaurants to avoid such disappointing and stressful encounters.
“This is a clear evidence that Mega Chicken is no longer customer friendly. If you must come to their restaurant to buy food with your car, you have to leave immediately, if not your car tyres might be deflated by their management. The best is to look for responsible restaurants around,” he said.
