In a swift reaction to the rumors circulating round in the media that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed the candidacy of Senator Sani Musa as the APC chairman in the forthcoming national convention of the party, The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Support Group Management Council BATSGMC has debunked the rumour and put records straight.

According to the statement released by
Director, Media & Publicity of the support group management council, Otunba Biodun Ajiboye, “BAT SGMC attention has been drawn to the misinterpretation that has greeted the visit of *ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU* to *Senator Mohammed Sanni Musa*, a chairmanship aspirant of APC from Niger State.

“With the convention in a couple of weeks, the presidential aspirant was at his residence, primarily to reciprocate Senator Mohammed Musa’s gesture of visiting Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in London when he did his knee surgery, this visit has been generating a lot of misinterpretation as if Asiwaju has gone to pay homage to endorse him as chairman, which again is a gross mis-interpretation of his intentions.” The statement read.

“If this misinterpretation is left undisputed, it would be misconstrued in the political circle to mean something esle. For avoidance of doubts, Asiwaju, while with Senator Musa, never discussed anything relating to party chairmanship position and asipration as this was clearly not the reason for the visit.” BATSGMC explained
