Leaders, coordinators, and accredited delegates of the South-West Zone of the Consolidated APC Grassroots Movement (CAGraM) have reaffirmed their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging total commitment to the 10 Million Direct Votes Project ahead of the 2027 general elections.

This position was contained in a communiqué issued at the CAGraM National Grassroots Mobilization Summit held on Tuesday, 16th December 2025, at the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Conference Centre, Abuja, under the theme “Ten Million Votes, One Purpose: Securing Nigeria’s Democratic Future,” signed the National Secretary, Engr Murisik Keruwole, and Chairman, South-West Zone, CAGraM), Hon. Kolawole Okedara.

The communiqué was delivered on behalf of the South-West Zone, comprising Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti States, following extensive deliberations by delegates at the national summit.

In the communiqué, the South-West described itself as the historic bastion and ideological home of progressive politics in Nigeria, noting that President Tinubu represents the finest expression of that legacy through bold leadership, strategic clarity, and commitment to long-term national development.

According to the zone, President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated courage by implementing far-reaching reforms in fiscal discipline, revenue optimisation, infrastructure renewal, and economic recalibration—decisions described as difficult but necessary for building a stronger and more resilient Nigeria.

The communiqué emphasised that true leadership should be measured not by populism, but by the courage to take decisive actions that secure sustainable national growth.

The South-West Zone reaffirmed its absolute loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing the party as the most viable platform for national integration, democratic consolidation, and inclusive development.

Delegates also expressed confidence in CAGraM as the engine room of grassroots mobilisation, voter education, political engagement, and ideological consistency, stressing that grassroots participation remains the backbone of electoral success.

The communiqué acknowledged the sacrifices and resilience of CAGraM members nationwide, particularly during the 2023 general elections.

Despite limited access to patronage since then, members were commended for remaining disciplined, loyal, and committed to party unity and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Special recognition was given to notable supporters who stood firmly with the movement during challenging periods, including Mrs. Modupe Odumuyiwa and Otunba Dr. Ronke Kolade Carew (popularly known as Rontex), whose steadfast support and encouragement were acknowledged as instrumental to sustaining grassroots morale and organisational stability.

The South-West described the 10 Million Direct Votes Project as a structured, people-driven national mission anchored on ward-to-ward mobilisation, door-to-door voter engagement, youth and women inclusion, faith-based and community advocacy, as well as continuous voter education and PVC sensitisation.

The zone pledged to deliver its fair share—and beyond—through disciplined, data-driven grassroots engagement across all states in the region.

CAGraM South-West outlined its strategic priorities to include bridging the gap between APC leadership and grassroots supporters, mobilising party faithfuls and undecided voters, strengthening ward and polling-unit structures, defending the APC government with facts, countering misinformation, and empowering youths and women as ambassadors of democracy.

The communiqué also stressed the importance of unity, internal cohesion, and zero tolerance for anti-party activities within both CAGraM and the APC.

Delegates appealed to the national leadership of CAGraM, the APC, and relevant authorities to provide logistical support, capacity-building opportunities, mobilisation materials, and appropriate recognition, including political appointments, for committed grassroots members across the country.

As preparations for the 2027 general elections begin, the South-West Zone pledged to remain proactive, visible, and influential in shaping public opinion and securing victory for the APC and its candidates nationwide.
