Leadway Assurance has unveiled the Leadway Arrival Pack, a short-term insurance solution designed to provide protection for visitors to Nigeria and businesses that serve them during peak travel and commercial periods.

The new product is targeted at diaspora Nigerians, business travellers, tourists, students and other short-term visitors, as well as businesses that cater to them during their stay in the country.

The launch, held in Lagos, attracted stakeholders from the travel, tourism, aviation, lifestyle, media and financial services sectors, with discussions focusing on the need for flexible insurance solutions for people visiting Nigeria for short periods.
According to Leadway Assurance, the Arrival Pack was developed in response to the increasing volume of international travel, diaspora homecomings, tourism and business activities, particularly during seasonal peaks.

Speaking at the launch, Executive Director, Retail & Partnership, Leadway Assurance, Kikelomo Fischer, said the product was designed to give visitors and businesses greater peace of mind against unexpected risks during temporary stays.

“Our primary objective in launching the Arrival Pack is to ensure that coming into Nigeria for a temporary visit or stay is defined by greater peace of mind, both for visitors and the businesses that serve them,” Fischer said.

She noted that international passenger movements into Nigeria increased from 4.33 million in 2024 to 4.85 million in 2025, representing about 12 per cent growth.

“As travel and commercial activity increase, so does exposure to unexpected risks. The Arrival Pack is designed to provide relevant protection during these periods, giving visitors greater confidence during their stay and businesses greater assurance as they serve them,” she added.

Leadway said the 2026 festive season, particularly December, will serve as the flagship period for the Arrival Pack, given the increased travel, homecomings, events and commercial activities associated with the season.

The company said the product is not limited to the Christmas period, as it is also designed for other seasonal peaks, including Easter and Eid, when travel and social and commercial activities typically increase.
Leadway explained that conventional insurance products are often structured around longer-term coverage, potentially leaving people on brief visits with limited options for temporary protection.

The Arrival Pack, it said, is intended to address this gap by offering short-term coverage suited to temporary stays.
The product is currently available for purchase through Leadway’s website.
The launch reinforces Leadway Assurance’s focus on developing insurance solutions around changing customer needs and emerging patterns in travel, lifestyle and business activity.
