Interventions: Kano State lauds NDIC …. Lists achievement

Kano State Government today commended the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) for its various interventions which have assisted in safeguarding and prudent management of public funds.
The Governor, Kano State, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje gave the commendation at the ongoing seminar for finance correspondents and business editors held in Kano, the Kano State capital.
The governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the Kano State Government (SSG) Alhaji Usman Usman stated that Kano State controls a single revenue account which had helped in blocking linkages in the state.
The state which according the governor spends N9 billion every month for workers salaries could boast of two years consistent payment of salary .
Speaking on achievement recorded by the state within the years of the present administration, Ganduje pointed out that Kano Stated has enrolled over 3000 children in primary schools adding that the state owned and maintains two universities.
He further stated that over 5,000 teachers have been trained trained even he assured that no teacher in the state primary schools has less NCE qualification.
He assured that the state has keyed into the FGs Ease of doing business, for further growth.
