The Supreme Court Tuesday affirmed the election of Samuel Ortom as governor of Benue, dismissing an appeal by Emmanuel Jime, candidate of the APC in the last governorship election challenging the outcome.

The court dismissed the case for lack of merit, affirming Ortom as winner of the poll, in the judgement delivered by Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour for lacking in merit.
