The National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) has commenced the implementation of its post-recapitalisation agenda, with emphasis on stronger regulation, staff capacity development and operational efficiency.

The Commissioner for Insurance, Mr. Olusegun Ayo Omosehin, made this known during the Commission’s quarterly staff general meeting, which provided an opportunity for management and employees to review developments in the insurance sector following the conclusion of the industry’s recapitalisation exercise.

The meeting also focused on aligning staff with NAICOM’s strategic priorities as the Commission moves into the next phase of insurance industry development.

Key areas discussed included regulatory and supervisory effectiveness, staff welfare, continuous professional development and institutional growth.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its regulatory framework and enhancing its supervisory capacity to support a more resilient and competitive insurance industry.
