The senator representing Katsina North, Mr. Bukar Mustapha, is dead.

Mustapha, 63, represented President Muhammadu Buhari’s senatorial district.

Mustapha who was believed to have been one of the pro-All Progressives Congress (APC) senators loyal to President Muhammadu Buhari died around 10.00am today following an illness.

His death occurs less than a week after the deputy majority leader of the House of Representatives, Umar Jibril, died after a protracted illness.

It also came barely a month after the death of Senator Ali Wakili, 58 on March 17 at his Abuja residence.

Born on December 31, 1954 in Daura, Mustapha who was a first senator will be buried in Daura today in line with Islamic injunction.
