By Ngozi Onyeakusi — In what seemed like a surprise, the immediate past president of Nigeria, President Goodluck Jonathan Thursday paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock. Nobody seemed to know the agenda of the meeting that lasted for 15 minutes, which is his fifth visit to Buhari and the first since 2016.

Looking relaxed, Jonathan beaming with his usual smile arrived and left the Villa, declining comment on the outcome of the meeting. He merely acknowledged greetings from journalists but could not answer any question as he made straight to his car.

The former president, who was escorted to his car by the State Chief of Protocol, Amb. Lawal Kazaure, only answered greetings from State House correspondents and other staff.

The former president visited the Presidential Villa for the fifth time as he was last seen in the State House in 2016.

President Buhari had earlier Thursday met with members of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption at the Presidential Villa, Abuja
