By Ngozi Onyeakusi– Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment in conjunction with KAS Prints, a giant Nigerias print Company Friday launched a digital print equipment, ‘Revolutionary Canon 10000VP’ in Nigeria.
Also launched was a partnership programme, KP2, designed by KAS Print to tackle unemployment among the youths through acquisition of requisite skills in printing business.
Canon 10000VP is one of the world’s fastest, unique and highest capacity print machines, manufactured in 2015 and with over 1000 units already sold across the globe.
Speaking during the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and unveiling of the machine in Lagos, the Honourable Minister of State For Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo (SAN), pledged the Federal Government commitment towards empowering teeming unemployed Nigeria youths across the six Geo-political zones in the country by keying into the programme to ensure economic and national growth.
“We view this partnership as an avenue through which our youths will acquire skills to establish Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs). We will engage most of our youths who are unable to do it On their own”, Kayemo assured.

Earlier in his address, the Managing Director/CEO, KAS Prints Ademola Kasumu, stated that KAS Prints was out to empower over 1,000 Nigerian youths through acquisition programme on the use of revolutionary machine for optimum performance in print.
He urged the Ministry to key into the partnership in order to give it a face of the Federal Government.
He assured that KAS Print entered into a deal with Canon, a company with a turnover of 37billion USD last year to boast Print business in the country even as imparting Nigerian youths.
