The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared inconclusive Saturday 6th November 2021 governorship election in Anambra State  following  inability of the electoral the body to conduct election in one of the 21 Local Government Areas in the State.

The state returning officer Prof. Florence Obi who is the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabatlr said election would hold in Ihiala LGA on Tuesday, November 9 and it is only after that that the final result would be announced
But of the 20 LGAs so far collated, Chukwuma Soludo of the APGA had won in 17
The YPP candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Uba won in Nnewi North while the PDP candidate, Val Ozigbo won in Ogbaru LGA.
Cummulatively, while the APGA candidate has polled over 100,000 votes, the next candidate to him, Ozigbo of PDP got about 49,000 while the APC candidate, Andy Uba polled some 40,000 votes

In her observation of the gubernatorial election, one of the leaders of the NGOs that monitored the process, Mrs. Amaka Uzodimma said she was satisfied with the exercise

She said the outcome beat the expectations of many who had envisaged crises and violence.

She praised the people of Anambra State, leaders, the voters, the entire leadership of the South East zone whose intervention staved off crises.

Uzodimma said the security agencies did a good job in making sure that all was calm and the people voted their choice for the leadership of the state in the next four years.
