By Ngozi Onyeakusi— The National Pension Commission ( PenCom) has announced the suspension of Data Recapture Excercise (DRE) of Retirement Savings Account (RSA) holders by agents .

SUPERNEWS Nigeria recalls that in order to expedite DRE, the PenCom approved an industry proposal by the Pension Funds Operators Association of Nigeria ( PenOp) for industry Shared Service Initiative (SSI) under which PenOp engaged two agents ( Payone Solutions Limited and Afritec Multi Concept Limited) to conduct the DRE on behalf of all PFAs .

According to the Commission, RSA holders and general public are requested to note that contract between PenOp and the agents will expire by 30th May 2023.

Consequently Payone Solutions Limited and Afritec Multi Concept Limited will from 31st May 2023 no longer authorised to conduct DRE for RSA holders.

The above nothwithstanding all RSA holders both active and retired who joined the Contributory Pension Scheme CPS on or before 1st July 2019 and are yet to be recaptured are advised to visit the nearest branch of their PFAs to undergo Data Recapture Excercise
“The DRE is in compliance with the directive of the Federal Government that all data generating organisations should harmonise their databases with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC).

“It is also consistent with the need to have a credible database of all RSA holders in Nigeria,” it said.

According to the Commission, necessary documents required for the exercise include staff identity card or any one of the following: national driver’s license, permanent Voter’s Card, international passport (mandatory for non-Nigerians).

Other requirements are enrollment slip issued by NIMC, birth certificate or sworn affidavit of age declaration.
