By Ngozi Onyeakusi—Frontline Media Int’l will this week Saturday, roll out garlands of honours for captains of industry and other eminent Nigerian citizens in recognition of their strategic contributions to human development and nation building

According to a statement issued by the Spokesman of Frontline Media Int’l, Mr. G.O.C Obi, the event, which forms part of the activities for marking it’s 20th anniversary will feature a lecture titled:
“Creating Opportunities For Foreign Direct Investment In Nigeria” as a veritable instrument for job creation.

The statement stated that, over the years, Nigeria’s dependence on oil had made the leaders of this nation loose sight of the inherent opportunities in shipping, solid minerals development, agriculture and Aviation, adding that a team of World Bank experts will join Nigerians who are professionals in the relevant sectors in identifying the growth inhibiting factors with a view to fully optimizing the potentials in the aforementioned sectors of the economy.

The statement added that the aim was to make Nigeria the investment hub in Africa.

The event, which will have the Founder of the National Association of Government Approved Freight Forwarders NAGAFF/ Founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr. B.O Aniebonam as Chairman.
Industry captains scheduled for Frontline special awards include: the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Dr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, for winning the Best Public Servant of the Decade Award, having achieved so much within a shortest time ever.

Chief Barr. Allen Ifechukwu Onyema, Chairman of Air Peace Ltd, who emerges winner for”Most Patriotic Personality of the Decade (2012 -2022), Chief Sylva Okolie-Abor, immediate past Ag. Accountant General of the Federation and Dr. ABC Orjiako, former Chairman of Seplat Energy Plc, who wins Most Outstanding Indigenous Entprepreneur of the Decade in Oil and Gas sector.

Other notable private sector practitioners also slated for the awards are: Prince Engr. Arthur Eze of Atlas/Oranto Oil Ltd, who wins “Life Time Achievements Award, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Chief Leo Okafor, (Oba Ojoto), Chief Dr. Emeka Okonkwo, (E-Money), who emerges winner for: “Most Influential Maritime Man of the year 2022”
The Chief Executives of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Moghalu, the Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC) and the Director General of the Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) will be given special honours for for their matchless performances as Cheif Executives of government agencies.
The event, which will hold at Welcome Centre Int’l Hotels Ltd, Lagos, along Lagos International Airport Road, will also feature the intellectual input of a veteran Maritime/Developmental Lawyer and former President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olisa Agbakoba ‘SAN’, who will be dealing with the lead paper titled: “Creating Opportunities for Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Nigeria.

Other awardees include Dr. Mohammed Bello-Koko,,RT. Hon. Emmanuel Jime, Chief Jonathan Okonkwo, CEO Romeneo Bureau De Change Ltd, DR. ABC Orjiako ‘OFR’, Chief Leo Okafor (Oba Ojoto),
CHIEF DR. Emeka Okonkwo and Usman Bello Kankara ‘mni’, Kanwan Katsina/traditional ruler of Ketare District in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina state.

Also, Mozida Hotels And Suites Ltd emerges the Best Hospitality Firm of the year 2022 while Pinnacle Health Pharmaceuticals Ltd wins the Award for Best Pharmaceuticals Marketing Company of the decade (2012 -2022)

Representatives of the Maritime Workers Union, representatives of the NAGAFF and those of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents will be are expected to grace the occasion as their Presidents are also special awardees.
