The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs would be partnering to woo investors at the 2023 LCCI International Business Conference & Expo. The event, which would hold on August 29-30 in Lagos, tagged “Invest Nigeria” aims to introduce 10 unicorn companies to the economy, sign landmark investment agreements between Nigeria and other countries and establish multilateral trade associations. A statement by the LCCI said highlights of the event would feature a business forum headlined by the Presidency, state government, diplomats, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, and leaders of the organised private sector. According to the chamber, there would also be a governor’s session, where five state governors will speak to the audience on investment opportunities in their states and the available incentives. It added the event would feature 10 business-to-business sessions on oil and gas, manufacturing, agriculture, fintech, textile, and creative arts. The chamber mentioned that there would also be four government-to-government meetings between representatives of the Nigerian government and representatives of other governments. According to LCCI, an expo section with delegates and exhibitors from at least 50 different countries would headline the summit.
